Live Access

Live Access is a music photography project documenting live musicians, DJs, crowds, and artists across Falmouth, Cornwall. Inspired by practitioners such as Danny North, Nick Waplington, and Laszlo Locsei, 'Live Access' focuses on capturing raw, authentic, and unfiltered moments and emotions.
From big venues to small local pubs, my images focus on embracing community and culture in a coastal town. Shot using on-camera flash, the burst of light helps to freeze and capture the energy and emotion before it disappears. The deliberate use of blur, close-ups, and imperfect framing invites the viewers to feel as though they are part of the crowd. ‘Live Access’ embraces the imperfections and celebrates genuine and unscripted beauty in live performances.
Low-light conditions and exposure help you to embrace the grain, contrast, and uneven lighting as part of the visual language, rejecting clean and polished aesthetics in favor of rawness, energy, and presence.
